They aren't mean. In fact they may be saving his life. Trix to rabbits are like chocolate to dogs.
Remember the old silly joke about the rabbi who was shipwrecked, and found himself on an island with a tribe of people know as the trids? He found out for entertainment they all went to the top of the mountain where the biggest trid would kick them and they would slide down a well worn path. So he decided to try it. Of course the chief trid refused to kick him.

Trix are for Kids, but then, once, long ago, we voted and let the silly rabbit have his trix, he ate them all up at once. You can see the orginal trix commercial, in black and white, at the URL listed. That pages also explains a little about the cute little trixless bunny

Well the rabbit hangs around kids so I guess once he eats them he will finally transform and become a fruity child molestor. The kids keep it away from him because of this. Keep in mind Trix only has that effect on rabbits. The only side effect that it has on children is that ridiculous sugar rush.
