Now, I'm a bloke, and we often get stuff like this wrong, but if I remember correctly from biology lessons....

Ovulation is the point in the menstrual cycle where pregnancy occurs. It typically happens around 2 weeks before your period and can take up to 5 days, and sperm can stay alive inside your vagina for about 3 days. Therefore the highest risk of pregnancy occurs from about a week after your period until a week before your next period.

You may want to quickly scan this piece from Wikipedia on the specific part of the cycle you're worried about:

And regardless, unprotected sex is a risky business both for purposes of potential pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. Next time get him to wear a condom.

Having unprotected sex is the most dangerous thing any person can do these days. Pregnancy is the least of the problems.
Why don't you care enough about your life to be protected. STDs are more dangerous and life threatening than pregnancy
GROW UP AND START BEING RESPONSIBLE
MAKING life happen instead of LETTING life happen

You should have had your partner wear a condom since you could still become pregnant during the initial day and last of your period. Why take a chance? Always use protection.

Don't believe the myth that you can't get pregnant when you're on your period!!!! You can get pregnant ANY TIME OF THE MONTH!!!!!! My friend's doctor even told her that girls can get pregnant before they have their FIRST period.
