It didn't get scratched, the acetone in the nail polish remover dissolved the plastic and made the surface rough.

As far as the cure, I don't know if a new display is the ticket.

I on no account paint my nails except I rather have nail polish remover someplace....you will be able to desire to apply a lighter shade polish and repaint over the wrecked stuff and use a comfortable textile and wipe it off suitable away, which will help do away with a number of it yet as far as close on your cuticles and stuff you extremely desire the remover.....reliable success!

i use a special type of wipe that can be found at best buy for 5$ that will remove minor scratches (sorry i can't remember the name). for major scratches, there is something called displex or ipod ice cream. they both work well. make sure to protect the ipod afterwords. make sure that what your using is especially ment to remove scratches. i have tried toothpaste and it created more scratches since it is also abbrasive.

You can get a new screen cover or look for plastic scratch remover.. it buffs it.

I'd recommend the new screen cover though, less work... but you have to get the old one out.
