When we let our government like Bush take away our privacy's and freedoms the terrorist's have won. They use these freedom taking tactics under the excuse "national security".
I say give me liberty or give me death. I say if we continue to give in to terrorists and let Uncle Sam invade into our personal lives then we can expect to be living in George Orwells 1984.
Click on these links to see just how we are being scared out of our liberty's.

Left out the loathing! What do you want to bet, the Brits find little or no evidence that the 25 arrested in London were anything but wanna bes? Certainly not at a such an International level that it disrupted world air traffic, peoples lives and cost tax payers everywhere.
Does anyone find it odd that the authorities in England say that this group had been under massive surveillance for weeks for suspicion of plotting a terrorist attack. Yet Blair went to Bermuda for some fun in the sun with no knowledge (according to him) of this big plot?
Do you find it odd that Bush was vacationing at home in Crawford and our government had no indication of a plot. And that had they known, security measures would have been in place smoothly before the London raid ? Strange, Bush was reading a book to kids in Florida when 9/11 happened.
No, I'm not afraid , or paranoid. I'm mad as hell! And the sooner the American people get fed up with this manipulation, the better.
As the good man said, "Good night and good luck

its ridiculous - yes there is a chance of being a victim of a terrorist but you are way way way more likely to be murdered by some random nutter or even more likely by someone you know, or die in a car crash, or from some horrible disease - you have more chance of winning the lottery than you do dying at the hands of some freakout crazy called abdul. so feck them and their 8 century garbage.

You said it.
Which is exactly what the terrorists want to accomplish. Killing people is entirely secondary. The goal is to destroy American values, disrupt our society, and cause us to lose the liberty and pursuit of happiness that made this country great.
The fact that the terrorists can enlist our own government in destroying those liberties just makes their job easier.

I say you're WRONG! I take it you're talking about what happend this week...well, if we don't go to extremes then there's the huge group that says we should have taken precautions...something could've been done...yadda, yadda...We just try to go ahead and, "nip it in the bud" instead of waiting for something else horrible to happen like the WTC thing...GOD BLESS AMERICA....If you don't like it leave it. I'll bet you would beg to come back home...

i keep hearing the administration saying that the terrorists are doing their thing because they hate our freedom, so the solution seems to be to take it away a little bit at a time...maybe they think if we lose enough freedom, the terrorists will run out of reasons to hate us??? sounds goofy, but then again, 'goofy' seems to be the underlying theme of this administration
