they don't. The signs are made for humans to notify us that there are many deer in that area!

The deer don't have to know because it comes with instict as a way to another feeding ground. The one that finally figured it out, thank God was human kind. Who then put the signes up to try to alert drivers of the instinct that sends the deer over the same path year after year. It's about time we started figuring out we are not the top of the food chain. Because without lower lifeforms we would be the extinct variety.

They don't know. The sign is put there because it is a natural crossing area for the deer. It is to protect them as well as the traveler.

ther are paths and trails were deer instinctively cross, and after enough deer have crossed at a certain ppoint, the road peoples put a deer crossing sign up to alert drivers.

Three car wrecks have to happen for a sign to be put up. They do that so we will be alert and watch for them because obviously an open field or water for the deer is nearby.

WTF!? Road workers take reports of where deer have been seen crossing roads, then where alot have occured, the road crews put up signs! GET IT NOW?!
