Kids always like money -- how about $11 new crisp one dollar bills in a cute bank from the Dollar Store?
If he's going into school with a locker this year, how about some locker accessories -- we got some magnetic wire pencil holders, a magnetic memo pad holder, mini dry erase board (for notes to himself) and a locker mirror from the Dollar Store.
If he's artsy, some watercolor pencils and watercolor paper from Walmart -- will cost you about $10.
Have fun at the party....

2 paper boxes of different sizez
five candies
and a funny wrapning paper and ribbons
wrap each candy in a different shape, so that nobody can get any idea frm its shape. glue these candies inside the box so that the box doesnt make any noise when shaken. wrap the small box in the large one and give it an intresting look.
Make a funny entrance at the birthday party.
Pretend that you have spend much of your time in making the surprise gift. And keep smiling through out the party
good luck

I just went through this. Walmart and such stores are having a clearance on their summer merchandise. Go to the toy section and pick up a bubble blow gun, bubbles, and some miscelaneous items like balls and water stuff. I just went there and got an incredible present for $6.00. Good luck.

A Nerf ball, football, basketball, baseball, see where this is going. Boys usually like matchbox cars, a card game or trading cards if you know what he likes. Hope this helps

Is he into anything? You could get him something simple like comic books or those trading cards.... if he's into that. Books are always a great gift if he likes to read.
