I find it sad. You have innocent people on both sides dying for absolutely no good reason. The Israeli govt. has even acknowledged that the majority of the Lebanese people don't support Hezbollah, and Israeli's are constantly being killed by fanatics.

The fact is that Israel is killing people left and right and about 80% are civilians. They need to recognize that the lives of those Lebanese are as significant as any Israeli's. They are destroying Lebanon despite the Hezbollah strong hold being in the South. They have bombed christian communities, fleeing families ( after they told all civilians to leave), they bombed UN peace keepers (intentionally), and they are denying aid workers safe passage.

I want the Israeli govt. to be held account for all of their actions. And I wish our president would publicly denounce their military campaign.

Hezbollah is proving to be a lot tougher than Israel thought they would be, thanks to Iran. I think everyone thought Israel would have wiped Hezbollah off the face of the earth in a week or less since they have the strongest army in the Middle East. Once the cease-fire goes into effect, Hezbollah will have the opportunity to re-arm themselves and like all true terrorist groups, will strike again when Israel is least expecting it.

I can not believe the destruction and death that arose from the attack on Israel. Hez-Ebola is a cancer in Lebanon. Does one destroy the body to fight the disease?
Given the very resent Syrian with drawl in Lebanon I feel the Lebanese were not given enough time to try to root out the militant group.
I am torn as I know Israel has had to deal with terrorism on a daily basis, surrounded by neighbors that vow its destruction. Yet the "Hez-Ebola" and "Humus" attacks were, in this case, against a military target (those kidnapped and killed were in uniform). I must also believe Israel should have been more careful in its attacks against civilians.
There is no "right" side in this conflict. It must end.

Its a distraction. Wait and see what the Bushies will be up to next, especially if it looks like the Repubs. will loose the house or the Senate. When is the last time you heard about Iraq. The Media are sluts, if our government keeps giving them juicy stuff they can pretty much paint the picture they want. FIND NEWS OUTSIDE OF BIG MEDIA. This is the only way to get an accurate picture anymore.

I do not think the United States will get involved. Unfortunately, I do not think that Israel and Lebanon with come to any agreement any time soon.

this isn't a clean warfare, that's an particularly previous warfare. actual peace can in straightforward words be executed with the help of absolute victory. Any sane American could be in help of Israel. they're struggling with an similar evil that we are. I welcome Israel's involvement because they are going to do issues that we'd not. Why do not you human beings understand, that the in straightforward words reason Israel isn't pushing harder is because Lebanon is the in straightforward words usa in touch that is no longer thoroughly evil. regrettably for them they're unable or unwilling to handle Hezbollah themselves, Israel is merely being a reliable neighbor and helping them meet their UN mandate responsibilities.
