Some children are just feeling lonely and this is one place where they can meet new people. Some want to use this as a homework help site or to learn interesting things. There were a lot of questions in the education section concerning entering high school so this site helps allay those fears as people who've experienced high school can share stories to put them at ease. It really should be up to the parents of these children. They need to set their own guidelines.

Honestly some people on this site are very respectful and others are not.I am 22 and have seen young kids on here before, i don't think anything will happen to them and if someone is rude they can always be banned but.... If you are concerned about your kid and you don't think they are responsible enuff to talk to people without being coerced into stupid things then you prolly shouldn't let them on. Though on this site it is a lil more difficult for people to really know each other cuz its not chat its just question and answer, and they don't have to answer anything they don't want to. I guess the real question is, is your kid responsible enuff, if not then No.

That's a dumb question; have you looked at the design of the page and the aviators? They appear to have been developed for the younger people in the first place. So if you feel that you are to old to be here then find more mature sight to go to.

No. The parental control should be left up to the parents.

well i'm under sixteen and this is the first time for me out of the science and mathematics section. i love to learn and school hasn't started yet, plus i like to help people. i think that ther should only be age restrictions on the utterly disgusting questions about sex and whatnot.

No, and yes.
I think it's up to the child to be responsible and not look at questions that are inappropriate and not to talk to strangers who might want to kidnap me. I'm 14 and I'm responsible enough to know what not to look at!
But for those who aren't, I think a certain age limit should be set for gross questions, that or they should be reported immediately.
