NO STUPID ANSWERS PLEASE Ok - I have been to two different health professionals and my problem isn't being solved. First I have to mention I have no insurance so It's not easy to just go to a doctor. I also don't feel comfortable going to just any doctor to talk about issues like this, I would rather see someone I know. At first I thought I had a UTI/Bladder infection so I was using home remedies such as cranberry juice, lots of water and vagisil creams. It didn't get better so I thought maybe I had a yeast infection. I tried Monistat 3 and to my surprise it cleared up the pain while I was using it. As soon as I stopped using it the pain was back, so I figured it was time to go see someone. I went to what is known as a minute clinic, and saw someone and she told me I had an UTI. She gave me medicine, worked but when I stopped it came back so then I went back she doubled it and extened the dose, then it worked but it came back again when I was done... please see part two of ?

I understand your limitations on seeing doctors without insurance, however, your health is of paramount concern. Call a local urologist or better, urogynocologist, and ask about sliding scale payments and reduced fees. You need to be checked for a myriad of concerns, first and foremost is Interstitial Cystitis, as well as to rule out and appropriately treat any infections of any kind. Self-treating and delayed care can lead to no good. Call the doc and ask about self-pay reductions and options. Good luck to you.

You may not be drinking enough water so that the UTI keeps coming back. Or you may have a yeast infection caused by the UTI, so you need to treat them both at the same time.

If you're sexually active, the best thing you can to do prevent both UTI's and yeast infections is to pee after you have sex (including oral, or finger stimulation). It flushes away any bacteria (usually good, but even someone else's good bacteria can upset your natural balance of your good, natural bacteria, giving you problems), so that you don't get as many UTI's and yeast infections. Pee after each time.

You should also always drink lots of water, and don't apply creams unless you actually have a problem. The creams can also give you bacteria imbalance which leads to an infection. If you're itchy, try placing hot or cold washcloths over your labia to soothe them.

Sounds like vaginitis...it's painful when you pee, have sex, or do anything that will irritate your vagina. The medication, for UTI, is probably nuetralizing the acid in your urine, therefore no pain. Why the doctor feels that you have a UTI puzzles me though. How did they come to this conclusion? I would read up a little more on vaginitis. Good Luck!

Both a blatterinfection and yeast need antibiotics treatment. If it's herpes, be even more careful, because it can be passed on to your sex partner. You really need to see someone to prevent worse. So for your own best, just go and have a serious check up. Isn't your health not more important than just a bill???

Sounds like you might have vaginal herpes. If it is you will have to take daily medicine for ever. Could you be passing it back and forth with your partner? If so stop the sex until it clears up completely and use condoms.
