well, my suggestion is go to your doctor!! Seriously, it's your knee :)
Possibilities:
mild sprain or strain
torn lig't (which is technically a sprain)
meniscus injury (meniscus = cartilage in the knee)
it's the torn lig'ts & meniscus you want to be worried about. which is why it's best to go see your doctor.

Take some anti-inflammatories and painkillers, like ibuprofen and paracetamol. You dont say how old you are, so Im not gonna recommend anything else, if you are under 16 check with parent.
Rest your leg, elevated above the level of your head, could try putting ice on it, 20 mins on, 20 mins off for a while.
It will probably be sore for a few days, but will probably get better on its own. Ring doctor if its no better at all in 3 days.

ouch, i sprained my ankle a few weeks ago, so i sympathise with you. make sure you rest it, and use ice packs to take the swelling down, if not better in a few days, maybe go and get it checked out. hope it gets better soon.
