probably you will get the ticket. If you ignore it, you may be served a notice to appear in court, and ignoring that can get your name on an arrest warrant.
If you get the ticket, pay it, dispute it in court, or go to traffic school if that is an option.

If you're in the UK, you have to have received the NIP (notice of intended prosecution) within 14 days of the offences. If you don't, it's a no-goer. If it was unmarked, both on the camera, and no road-signs before it, then you could argue in court (if you get the ticket), that you didn't know it was there and it was hidden purposely as they're not supposed to be hidden. If you get the ticket, then you might as well pay it - if you opt to go to court you'll probably end up with a bigger fine and more points, and court / solicitor's fees over and above the fine. Hope and pray you don't get anything in the post in the next 14 days.

In those circumstances the Police have longer than 14 days because the 14 day era does no longer commence till they are waiting to discover your take care of. therefore that ought to correctly be using DVLA no longer updating quick sufficient. they could deliver out the NIP to the previous proprietor who will be obliged to provide your information or get 6 factors themselves. If that become finished interior the 14 days then they'll extremely have complied as as far as they comprehend that become the registered proprietor on the time of the offence. the line site visitors Offenders Act 1988, area 2(3) states that a failure to regulate to the 14 day rule is not any bar to conviction if the courtroom is chuffed that the call and take care of of the accused or of the automobile's registered keeper ought to no longer with actual looking diligence were ascertained in time for service of a summons or be conscious, or that the accused with the aid of his own habit contributed to the failure. It signifies that if the police spent a month purely attempting to hit upon a record of the motorized vehicle's proprietor, that month would not count number as area of the 14 days. in addition, if your canines tore up your mail with the NIP in it, that too is not any reason to bar the conviction. in short this isn't a way round it. it ought to take some weeks longer yet they receives to you contained in the proper. they have rather a lot sown up the loopholes now so your in hardship-free words desire will be to be presented a % expertise route yet at 40 plus in a 30 that is unlikely

Sorry you probably will have to pay up.
Hairspray and other stuff on the no plates dosent work, not keeping your plates clean/legiable will get you a £40 fine and points.
Just be happy that you are keeping Mr Prescott`s crisp supply going.
Or you may consider paying somone else to say they were driving to take the points if you already have a lot.

Spray hairspray over your number plate about 4 times and then let it dry. Also, don't clean your number plates, leave them. Another thing, is to take down any stickers or toys in the windows or stuck to the body that can identify your car from other cars in your area of the same make and model. This will make it harder for police to differentiate. Another way is to strick cd's in the front and back, when you get 'flashed' the light simply bounces back and the pic is blurred! Ya can tell, I am an expert lol*me. Got a clean license though. *proud*

Interesting... it has been successfully tried in the European courts that it is a breach of ones human rights to be told one WAS driving the car when only a poor photo is available as evidence...
£60 and three points or Lawyers, flights and several years bogged down by European bureocracy and litigation.
tough one. Unless your already on 12 points that is. If thats the case I could refer an excellent chauffeur!!

You should get a letter asking you for details of the driver.....was it flashing you..or the car travelling in the opposite direction??? If it's you driving..then you can't avoid the points or the penalty!!! If you lie...then you will get done for perverting the course of justice...that will be a crown court job.....and a criminal conviction..and maybe a prison sentence!!
