Yes. Generally Hondas are cheap cars to race. The body is light so spending small amount of money in engine modification would give you much more performance gain than heavy American cars.
Get yourself 6th generation civic si, vortex supercharger and heavy duty clutch. You can get about 350 Hp out of that engine. Good enough to leave most old American V8s in dust.
There is a difference between drag racing and tracking. In tracking, Hondas are not as good because it is front wheel driven.

jesus kriest hit the nail on the head. get some real cars. yes, a honda would be a good car to race a honda accord, because it would be like putting a tortoise against a snail. it'll be interesting to see who wins, but you'll be there awhile.

Um hondas are for getting gas mileage..not racing. The FWD factor makes it a throwaway car. Get something with torque..by the time you put anything on that Honda..you still have to put it to the ground....there is no wieght transfer at all..not to mention the fart cans that are so Much faster Whatever...buy something with torque...that is what moves a car...

go buy a real car to race like a mustang GT,camaro z-28,transam.
v-8's run great and are very fast stock than a accord with 10,000 dollars in the engine.
