Because the US supports Israel. Israel is allowed, with US support, to commit genocide against its own people (the Palestinians) why would we stop them from killing the Lebanese? Essentially, Olmert is Bush's poodle and the poodle needs to taste blood. The "war on terror" allowed the US to enter Iraq and Afghanistan without any direct provocation from either country. Now Israel wants to do the same. Failed US policy in the middle east encourages this as it only further assists US interest in destabilization of the region.

Why din you react properly when your friends allow Hezbollah to become part of Lebonese government and ignore UN article 1559 that said Hezbollah was to be disarmed and cease to attack Israel. Why you no stop support for groups that teach your children hate and racism and make your children want to become martyrs and blow themselves up to kill other children just because they don;t worship the same way as you do? Oh yeah because your leaders that are teaching this stuff are liars and cowards sending children and others to fight their wars and die while they get fat and rich off of you.

Your friends started firing rockets at Israeli civilians. The Israeli's have superior firepower, and are fighting back. Your friends are dieing because they choose this conflict. They could avoid death by evicting Hezbollah.
I suggest you get on a plane and join them.
