Planning on buying a notebook. Am sure whether to buy the warranty since the cheaper one seems to be within the scope of the manufacturers warranty. The next one is about $380 which is half the price of a new notebook. Can even be the price of a new notebook add two hundreds or so. Any advice?

Yes, my husband said that warranties are worth it. You would able to replace some of the things on it. He always pays the extra to get a warranty, then he doesn't have to worry about replacing the part or if somethings wrong to have to pay for it out of his pocket.

My guideline here would be, what kind of puter user are you? Are you careful with your system? Do you drag it from pillar to post, around about everywhere you go?
If you've had 'bad luck' with a system in the past, you might want to go for a warranty, but, before you do, also consider, how long is the manufacturer's warranty, and, if it's NOT long enough, when do you think you might wind up doing replacement for the computer? If you think you might replace it sooner, you wouldn't want to buy a 3 or 4 year warranty, or, if you see something 'faster, better, more powerful,' and give that one to someone close to you and buy a new one, then a long warranty might not be of any use to you.
So, consider all of this before you let that fast-talking puter salesguy increase his commission on you.

I wouldnt really go for warranties cuz nothing happens to notebooks during the warranty period and even if you did break some parts then the warranty wont cover so I say its not really worth it.

the guaranty outcomes the wear achieved by applying your self as an occasion on your case added new areas or taking it aside will result the guaranty. i might try this own, to have a play and are available across your laptop wisdom, if the laptop is previous it is going to possibly no longer be in guarantee so its no longer properly worth irritating approximately (inspite of the undeniable fact that it is easy to blag it)

yes. buy the warrenty. it's better to be safe than sorry! for example, if your laptop screen suddenly goes blank and won't come back on, you get the screen replaced fro free. if you didn't have a warrenty, you would be paying the equivilent to a new desktop when replacing the screen.

Depends on how long the warranty is.

I don't buy extended warranties, they are a cash cow for the seller.
