i guess that is not a big question - most of the sports icon music icon and even in cinema stars most of them are blacks

its somethng a black community should be proud of that how far they have taken it
once taken as slave now that whole concept is demolished by the shear hardwork and dedication of them

I dont think Its acting black all the time some just act as who they are for example I am white but married to a black man we have two kids and since I was little I chose to not interact as much with the white kids just because.. I felt more comfortable with people of a different race since age 4 no real reason just because. I wore golds for a while I get braids I dont talk with hard slang but I am who I am and will not change regardless. Now some may try to "act" black but that is those who are just trieing to fit in. I always say if you werent on the train from the begining dont jump on it trieing to be cool. I grew up this way I could care less what anyone said about me and boy did they talk but those who didnt because I being affraid of being judged and now that they are like lets say 20yo then they decide they want to jump on board I dont agree with that. The question you asked is two ways some blacks chose to hang or be in the white race its all choice and you nor I should judge based on ones decision if they are acting then it wont last long before they are put back in their place. Acting is temporary being who you are is for life.

Black culture has been connected with cutting edge trends in popular slang, music and art. What is Black now, becomes pop culture tomorrow. Jazz, Rap, Ragtime, Hip Hop, Rock and Roll, Do Wop, etc... Sup, True dat, aight, etc Spike Lee Movies, Harlem Renaissance Writers, Cosby Show and so forth. Black culture is a driving force on American culture. It is a rich cultural heritage from which Whites, Asians, Latinos, Arabs, Native Americans and so on, all benefit. People "act Black" because they want to be part of that driving force and be part of the pop culture of today.

There is no such thing as white people trying to "act black" or black people trying to "act white". People act the way they believe is right, and I think saying that is stereotyping. Not all blacks talk like you type, and not all whites talk how I type. It's a matter of opinion and important to the individual person, and it isn't worth your energy to worry about.
