We like a good debate, but most of the questions in this forum are just asking for a wise-crack answer.

Sadly, probably more of the latter. What is sad, is that folks with strong opinions have most likely already closed their minds to other possibilities and are unable to see things openly - their view is the only view and that's it.

I find it fascinating when folks can sit and discuss their views, debate something, without getting in to this I'm right, you're wrong, etc. etc. It is very enlightening. If more people would open their mind, see both sides of the coin and "more" the world would be a more enlightening place. On top of that - they would learn something, possibly even about themselves.

My opinion is that haters react and say things out of fear of not knowing or being educated on something.

Definitely too many haters.

"Back in the days." there was an art called rhetoric, which was taught in schools. As the public education in America declined, as well as culture and families in general, rhetoric along with math, Latin, Greek, and basic language arts skills went to the dogs.

You can still learn debate in some schools, or by joining Toastmasters.

I would love to debate, but so far, all I can find are haters.

I prefer debating because it is more intelligent than just spewing out a bunch of random hate to prove your opinion. I respect differing opinions as long as mine are respected as well. I wish more people on here would debate and try to find solutions to problems rather than hate on each other. We need to attack problems, not people.

Yes there are, but they are few and far between. To debate requires logic and a grasp at the subject at hand. To hate only requires emotion, which comes naturally in all of us.
