yes. but you have to selected the feature manually. in your messenger preferences select the archive option.
if you haven't selected to archive the convos IM will not save the convo.

if u want to save nmessages in archives yes u hit the floppy disk icon and yea yahoo has all ur data for forensics reasosn this is how they catch pervs but for u to know who u connected up with screenames and when since beginnign of all messenging and ips i will tell u where to go / it wont have word for word data unless u save ur archives messages.. btu this will show u in past who u chatted with and ur screename u used ok.. go to c drive- programs- then yahoo folder yellow - open it go to messenger folder open it then go to profiles it will show u or anyone in ur house whos profiles are there the name of urs etc u can delete that daily.. then go in the same folder ypager there are two. one icon looks like ( use thumbnails up on tops when searching not word list.) looks liek a little piece of notebook page paper open that.. for yrs it will show u dates people screenames u connected too and IP addy!! uh huh wow ey??? u can delete that as well or save it to a disk copy but u can delete that if u have anyoen sharing ur comp.. and then it will say changes made ? hit yes to c drive say yes and a clean slate it there.. this is privy info so use it wisely..

ya its possible if u havent deletted the previous program files from c drive and secondly u have to selct the option from the yahoo messenger itself to save the message history go to prefernces --privacy options and message archive to activate the same .

you can set Messenger to record your conversations onto your hard drive, or to delete them when you log out.
they are never stored in the server.
