If you go to babycenter.com it will tell you what to expect week by week from your child from the time it is born until whenever. Also every baby has different rates of developement. They say if you baby was premature, than however long it was premature it will take that much longer for you child to catch up with the other children. So if it was 2 months early, then you would look at 1 month old develpement if your baby was at 3 months.

At 3 months old you should expect them to be taking an interest in things. They're becoming more socially aware and will enjoy looking at people. They should also start to discover toys at around this age. Just something simple like a rattle or a soft baby book can keep them amused for hours. They'll be putting things (esp hands) in their mouth from now on - this is their way of exploring things. I woukld expect that they'll have a grasp on head control now, and can hold there heads well if placed on their front. 3 months is when things start to get interesting - that newborn baby that just ate and slept is just beginning to discover a whole new world of exciting things. My advice is to get out as often as possible - babies are normally content at watching the world go by - so doing this at the park, or round town offers them new experiences. Lots of games of singing and movement will also get them giggling away - playing 'this little piggy' is a fav as is putting on some music and dancing round the room with them in your arms.
Other things at 3 months... Starting to roll onto their side (although this may be a wee while yet), lots of guggling and cooing - oh yeah, and sleeping for between 14-18hours per day!

Check out Lalitha's web site. It is full of lovely nursery rhymes and other songs. My grandson loves to look and listen to them which is entertaining for him and also us, as we get to enjoy him, enjoying them! Other than that he sleeps, eats, coos and babbles, reaches, holds, stuffs things into his mouth, rolls over, bounces on legs, laughs, poops, enjoys his bath, kicks his legs (hasn't realised that they actually belong to him yet). Enjoy this time, it is the season for discovery for your child which can be eye opening for you too.

smiling, starting to coo a little, eat, poop, sleep, cry.
If she isn't rolling over yet, don't worry. My oldest son walked before he rolled over and my little one was really late with it too. They don't all roll over when the "book" says they should

not a whole heck of a lot. She should be rolling over and maybe trying to hold her bottle/your breast. Some laughing, less sleeping. Recognizing you.

Eating, pooping, and sleeping. She should also be rolling over and smiling. But all kids develop at different times.
