This is what I thought at 13 years old and I still haven't changed my mind. For as long as man has been around he has been wondering about this and has come up with many stories to satisfy his/her need for an answer. So many groups feel their answer is the right one and everyone else will be punished by their god or gods either here on earth or in the afterlife. How can so many be right and wrong at the same time?
If there is a god who is kind and just why would he/she create so many people only to punish them for the wrong beliefs? Does he want us not to eat meat on Fridays or fast one day a year, or one month a year? Why would that matter to an all knowing being? The only thing that such a god (or gods) could want is for us to be good to each other and other creatures. That is the only thing that is here after all. I hope when we die there is an afterlife and many things will be explained to us there.
You asked for logic and I hope you can understand the logic of this. Many wars have been fought because this logic escapes people.

The creator of this world is called by many names... the most heard name is probably God. As for why he created it, I think he wanted to share his love with others and did not want to be alone. As for a perfect answer and a logical answer, you'll have to wait to ask God when you meet Him.
