I would like to think so. I have a best friend but shes not always there for me ... well almost never, she didn't even make it to my wedding ceremony only to the party. I think I'm more of a friend to her than she is to me. But i do think you can have a true friend... i have a true friend and even though we don't call each other best friends we are always there for each other and we ha vent gotten in an argument.

Sad to say, i don't think i have. However, using these examples, you should understand what is a true friend.
True friend is someone who:
1) Will come to your rescue when you lost your keys to your house that you rent eventhough he is sleeping.
2) Will come out immediately when you called him to fetch you to a bus station when it is 4 a.m. eventhough he stays very far.
3) Will advise you when asked for advises and will even let you scold if you don't like the advise.
4) Will help you to keep a lot of your stuffs for days when you don't have a place to keep them.
5) Will come to your side immediately when you were robbed, accompany you to the police station, then fetch you home after that eventhoug it is midnight.
6) Will listen to all sorts of nonsense that you want to tell.
7) Many more examples...
8) If is a guy, he is doing all these but he doesn't go after you.
9) If is a gal, she is still doing all this eventhough you snatch her bf.
10) Not everyone is receiving this special treatment except you and perhaps a few more person.
11) Lastly, this person can only be your true friend if you consider and accept him/her as your true friend.

No, friends come and friends go, and all people are human and have to get on with thier lives so nothing is forever. You can only really count on your family, and they are never perfect either, but that doesn't mean you won't meet a lot of great and decent people...some are fortunate to have good people within proximity who stick around for a long time...so I guess in that sense it is possible. I find though that a true friend is one who never really shuts the door on your relationship, even if time and space separates you, and those are hard to find too.

A true friend to me is someone who will stick by you through thick or thin...good times and bad times...someone who is always willing to listen and at the right time give advice..someone who will never turn their back on you or talk bad about you behind your back. someone who respects you and your values.
And the person allows you to do the same for them as they do for you.
They should always be honest with you also.
I have had what i thought were good friends only to find out what i thought wasnt true ..there for i will not allow myself to have a "best friend" anymore but i do have some good friends that have never done me wrong as far as i know. So i guess you could say they are true friends.

A true friend is someone who's there for you when you need them. They can be a stranger or someone you've known for years. I have had true friends and have true friends now. And some I haven't met yet.

Hey man how is it going?
A true friend is on who you can tell any thing to without hesitating,
A true friend is on that you can trust.
A true friend will not tell you business if you ask them no to.
A true friend is on that will listen to you when you don't have anyone else to turn to......

And yes I have a TRUE friend, you should get one to. Its a great filling to know that you have some one to turn to!!

A true friend is one that stands by you through it all...even if they don't agree with you. I have several true friends and I wouldn't trade them for all the money in the world.

I had never had a best friend until about 2 years ago..and the weird thing is i have known her for about 5 years I just was not much of a talker back then so she stopped trying to be my friend..we went to the same church and when my family stopped attending that church I didn't hear from her for a while..then we went to a new church and there she was..we've been best friends ever since.

A true friend is one that always sticks by you and is loyal. A person that never gossips about you behind your back. It is hard to find a person like that nowadays but i do have a few.
