I know why women are freaking out about the Sanitary Belts.... do you?
I've seen a LOT of posts here about the new sanitary belts being popular. I looked into it and spoke to my mother, grandmother, aunts and friends.
Here is what I found:
- Old women (40+) hate them because all they remember were those crappy belts and thick pads of a LONG TIME AGO.
- Young women using Tampons can only talk about how they hate pads...so why listen to them? They use TAMPONs not pads!
- All the other women that sqawk about the belts have NEVER USED THE BELTs!
So after 12 years of using sticky pads, I decided to try them (based on a girlfriend recommending them). Guess what?
- I will never go back to stickies!
- the NEW pads are thin, the NEW belts hold them snuggly in place
- the belts are wide, comfy, lacy and don't roll
- no more pad sticking to myself or bunching up
Much, much, much better.
Any other thoughts?

I will go look for a sanitary belt next weekend when I go shopping. I must say I haven't seen any new ones around.
I used them long ago. When I first started my period and it was very heavy. At the time, the only heavy duty pads were the maternity pads with loops and belts.
I hated them. They were so thick I couldn't sit properly. For a few years until my menses decided to behave I never did anything except wait in fear for the next menses.

Really!! I didn't know these were on the market again. My mother told me about them when they were using them. I would be afraid my pad wouldn't stay in place. I am so used to using sticky pads. Always with wings are my favorite brand. I don't know if I would feel secure with a sanitary belt.

These new belted napkins are about a million times better than the stick on pads.
Some women are not interested in Tampons, by the way, after they killed 800 women in the U.S. last year, even when used properly.

It is because, like the commercial, how can you combine in sync a low hipster pair of pants and a sanitary belt that goes around the waist. Duh!
