I was on the contraceptive injection for 2 1/2 years. I had my last one last November and was due again January but didn't have it. I still haven't had a period. Is this normal? I also keep getting REALLY sore breasts and didn't know if this was connected. I'm not pregnant as I have done a test.

It can take up to 18 months after your last Depo for your body to go back to regular cycles, until then your hormones are having a choas party and that is why your breasts are sore etc. Some women find that if they do a month or two of a birth control pill then stop it will bring your cycles back to normal especially if you want to try to get pregnant!

If your breasts get sore it's probably around when you should be having your period, perhaps you should go on the pill and see if it solves the problem, in any case before doing or taking anything consult your doc, if you can the one that decided you should take the injections in the first place.

This is something that a doctor needs to have a look at and help you work through why things are happening the way they are.
It doesn't sound normal, but there are many causes of secondary amenorrhea (loss of periods after you had them).

sore breasts means your probably getting really close to your period to start -- a couple of days maybe.... If it doesnt come... i suggest you go see a doctor
