I'm in highschool (9th grade), and I still don't have a boyfriend yet. Is this normal or not? Almost everyone I know had one by about 6th or 7th grade I think.

wow kids are growing up way too fast. I didn't have my first boyfriend until grade 10. In junior high i was too interested in my friends and school to care about boys!! Its really up to you to make the decision of when the normal time is to have a boyfriend. Even if all your friends have one - who cares!! If you don't really want one, don't get one. Trust me they are not all they are cracked up to be anyway.

It's very normal.
Focus on your education and don't worry about what everyone is doing.
Boy's are a distraction from whats really important.
You'll have plenty of time for all that, trust me.
Before you know it they'll be lining up at your door.
Finding someone special usually happens when your not looking.
Br thankful you don't have the added pressure of a boy trying to get into your "bloomers..." at any age, that's what they all want.
Someday, you will be the envy of all those girls.

Why shouldn't it be normal?Besides why are u worried just coz everyone's got something you don't have? It doesn't make u look any less better than the rest...infact it makes u look differnt and unique .Having a boyfriend is a regular and ordinary thing ....even the dumbest people ve' boyfreinds!!! Having a date is not something smart or anything of the sort. ....so cheer up.......it's ur personality that matters not how many boyfreinds u ve or how early u got one!!!!

I think that's refreshing. While it's "normal" to be attracted to the opposite sex at your age and younger, the pressures of a relationship are better dealt with in the later high school years or college. Continue participating in activities you enjoy (sports, drama, etc...), and don't fret! I don't want to be terribly negative about relationships, but they're hard! No need to rush into heartache, pressure, etc. Good luck!

Sure, having a boyfriend is fun, but my first REAL boyfriend was in 12th grade, and we ended up breaking up anyways.
