I think the bigger question is will they win the 2006 congressional elections. If they lose those elections they will probably lose the white house in 2008. If they still keep a majority, they better hope Iraq and the war on terror start going better. Bush could possibly be impeached if the Republicans lose the House and removed from office if they lose both the house and senate.

It is an interesting thought what would have happened if Al Gore won in 2000, would we have invaided Afghanistan-probably, Iraq-I doubt it.

Yes. If they fix the economy and the deficit which is highly unlikely.
Yes. If they find a solution to the war in Iraq and pull out before the election.
Yes. They'd get vote more if they give tax breaks to the middle class and poor which they don't right now.
Yes. They'd win if they get those machine from Florida and screw the democratic candidate just like in 2000 election.

Answer is a big NO. They'd screwed up so much right now that they can't fool the Americans anymore. Americans are getting tired of their policies and mistakes that's why they're voting for a democrat.

We don't even know who's running, so it's a bit early for the predictions. It all depends on the candidates. I think the odds are about equal at this point. It all depends on who can grab the moderates.

Maybe Joe will win as an independant. I would be much happier with that than many of the democrats running.

In area with electronic voting machines Republicans will do well. In areas with paper ballots they will not do as well. Overall I believe Dems. will have to do about 15% better than their opponents in voting machine districts in order to win.

The election is the Democrats' to lose. They will win if they don't screw it up.
