Our culture has trained us that men are not supposed to show soft emotions. That is supposedly not masculine and therefore a weakness. That is a false notion and ought to be eliminated. There is nothing wrong with a man showing emotions. In fact, most women like a man that can show emotions and softness. It means that he cares about something. Lack of crying is a sign of false pride. It says that he can't feel the emotions. He is above that softness. The man that does not allow himself to feel the emotions is cheating himself out of a very rich source of happiness. As for me, I get tears for every happy ending that I see in films and books. I'm a softy and I know it. But that is okay. My wife gets embarrased and thinks I cry too much, but that is okay also. Allow yourself to feel and respond. It is okay.

Little boys should be taught that it's ok to cry. Crying is a cleansing, and healing of our hurts. Males who don't cry were probably raised by dads who ridiculed them for it when they were small. That's how we get so many angry men.

I don't think it's a bad thing for guys to cry. Everyone has their weak momenets. Guys just aren't as sensitive as girls, and they definately don't like looking weak.

It's fine...and needed sometimes....but I think that most men feel that it's a sign of weakness,or perhaps they are embarrassed. In some cases it's merely the way they were raised.........In the end everyone cries...it's part of having balanced emotions

It's not uncommon. We usually don't cry in front of other people. Animal instinct.

Unless it is a major life crisis I am appalled if a man cries.
