Depends. Is it quick or did she spend a lot of time there? Did you invite you along or ask you to wait for her?
Could she be having an affair with someone in the chat room?
If she kept you waiting a long time and didn't invite you to join in too - then that was rude. I'd reevaluate the wisdom of spending hours driving at $3.20 a gallon to visit such a person.

heck no! why go to chatrooms if you don't want to get hooked up. If I had a girl she will always come first then pleasure on the internet. if she came hours away it shows she cares and if I was on the net all weekend it would show I didn't really care about her. I have chivalry.

If it hasn't happened to you then why do you care about it? Is it a friend of a friend thing?
No, I would spend time with my girlfriend. But that's just me.
Looks like the relationship you're talking about is a little one sided. The traveler likes her but she has better things to do, aka doesn't see her as very important, so that relationship is going down hill fast.

Hell no! But a really good point as it highlights the way the Internet has brought out the ignorance and mentality of some people - believe me this is not an isolated case!

depends on what kind of chat it is, sometimes people enjoy a certain website, and just like to keep track of what's going on, I would see no problem with my boyfriend going on a chat while i was there, unless it was an "adult" chatroom

Depends what chatroom!!! if it's it's a chatroom about badgers, then I think I would. I don't think my girlfriend would mind that too much. . .

my "ex" did that..AND talked to people on messenger. one of many reasons that would take to long to get into as to why we broke up. I'm sorry, when you don't see each other that often and spend 1/2 the time you are together on the phone or on the computer, that's not right!

No, no, no, no, no, and *no*!!!!
When my wife and I were still long-distance g/fs, it was like a permanent first few dates all the time. Neither of us even turned our computers *on* most of the time, unless she was expecting an e from her aunt in Siberia or something.
