Perhaps the problem is not the poll but instead the misconception that sexual orientation, like skin-color, is indicative of political beliefs.
The reality for most of middle America is not that we "favor" one party or another. Instead it's that we're more turned off by the other party. I live in a state (Michigan) that the Democrats have taken for granted for years. But in the coming election, even the dyed-in-the-wool lifetime Democrats with union cards are SOOOO upset with the current governor that they're voting Republican. The mantra is "anyone but Granholm".
The Democrats have taken the African-American and Hispanic vote for generations. But now the reality is that after the Clinton missteps with Elian Gonzalez and the fact that Bush not only speaks Spanish fluently, but even has an Hispanic family on Jeb's side, he carries a very large Hispanic following. African-Americans realized in the last 10 years that there's much more room for them in the Republican party than there is in the Democratic party because the Democrats have been taking them for granted and the Republicans will pour money at their campaigns.
So are gay men and women any different? I don't think so. Sometimes the best way to create change is to join the ruling party and become the voice of reason instead of being a noisy, disgruntled outsider who's seen only as a ranting lunatic.

Well, there's many reasons I"m sure. Bush did appoint an openly gay man as Ambassador to Romania and another gay man to head the Aids office (as well as several others. see link). Additionally, if you believe there is a war on Islamic Extremists the gays are going to side on a more hardline, as they would be slaughtered under Sharia law.

I don't know if you are making up the poll or not, but the majority of all the gays I have known have been college eductated and normally with better than average incomes.
So they would of course support the party that helps them out the most in business and money. They may be gay but they are not stupid

Given your Yahoo username, I'm guessing you're a Democrat. If so, and you think calling someone "GAY" is an insult (or a "tard"), maybe you should become a Republican.

Homosexuallity is an issue that is still taboo in many conservative peoples minds.
but have you noticed when a democrat get caught doing something it is sexually related and when a republican gets caught doing something it involves money.
