WE want to have a booth starting off small with personal size travel products- not your average brands- ones not found in CVS- ie. Caswell Massey- either to be purchased individually or in gift baskets- shampoos, lotions, conditioners, mouthwash, body was etc. ( I just went away for3 days and forgot moistuizer and toothbrush!)The baskets would be very affordable and pretty-8-10 products in a basket for $10-12.00 - for men and women. WEwould start off with about 15 items for men and 15 for women and a mini basket with 5 items for kids. Do you think they would sell? If it worked, we'd buy more variety. we could also then sell them on consignment to real estae agents and othe business people who give gifts to clients.

If you sold them at more upscale events (craft fairs, town fairs, etc.) I think you might do well. People who go to flea markets are looking for bargains and antiques.

About 3 years ago I spent the winter helping a friend at his booth in a Mexican Flea market which was mostly frequented by American and Canadian Tourists.

One thing I learned was, whatever sold well had to be small enough to fit into a person's luggage. Most buyers at a flea market... if they are going to be flying... will not buy a large OR a heavy item they have to try to carry home.

NOW... with this latest ban on all things liquid on airplanes, it would be even worse for someone selling liquid personal products.

I don't buy any personal items at flea markets. No offense, but if they don't sell after a while they go bad. If you leave the products out in the sun, they will change because of the change in temperature. Same goes for makeup and CDs. You may be better off selling them on Ebay. You would be surprised at what people will buy there.

No - flea market shoppers are there to get something cheap. If it was cheap and of premium quality they would be no happier than if it was cheap and crappy.
You need to try eBay or some local charity bazaar. Those would get you some exposure and some word of mouth advertising. Save the flea markets for getting rid of your out-of-date or unfashionable items - that is what those markets are for.

Yes, I think you have a good idea. Although I would sell it in some kind of travel pack. You may want to come up with some kind of travel package that will prevent the product from leaking especially now that people have to pack them in their luggage now and not on their carryon.

It will sell as long as you set up at a flea market where people use deoderant and toothpaste.
The flea markets where I live, people use neither
