Coldsheild were reputed to be a bunch of Sharks (Sorry).
They would go bankrupt or liquidate every few years so they did not have to satisfy guarantees, then set up again under a new name doing just the same.
See if you guarantee is underwritten (Should be) and go direct to them, as they have a vested interest in sorting you.
Just to cover myself, all the above is allegedly, from when we were buying windows.

There are quite a few Coldshield sounding companies. Which one (Where ) do you mean?
