first of all, there is not any such component as a stupid question! i comprehend somewhat about satellite tv for pc imagery, often called distant sensing. Satellites use countless kinds of sensing kit (digicam's) to produce pictures of the earth in a spread of diverse spectra. now and again the images are in authentic colour yet a tremendous variety of the time the archives is represented in fake colour - in conserving with what you want to work out or study from the archives. applications variety from predicting the elements, administration of aspects (forestry, water & mineral aspects etc.), civil planning, mining, agriculture or perhaps archeology. There are also militia and intelligence (spying) applications. undercover agent sattelites are everyday as keyhole satellites and are often exact KH-11, KH-12 etc. Early imaging satellites like LANDSAT were very massive yet using digital imagery and digital miniaturization, present day imaging satellites like SPOT operating example are both a lot smaller or have a a lot more effective array of sensing kit. desire this helps. try googling "distant sensing" for extra archives!
