Didn't they smell horrible though? I'm not sure how you did it, but I make candles all the time. All you need to do is to have your candle container...baby food jar, or recycle the jar from a used candle. Melt the crayons down in the microwave or on the stove (I prefer stove in an old pot that you won't care if the wax doesn't come off of...but I've always managed to get it off. ) Buy your wicks in the packages from Wal-Mart or Hobby Lobby. Dab a little of your melted wax in the middle of your jar and set your wick down in it until the wax sets. Now your wick is anchored. Pour the rest of the wax into the container and voila! One thing- don't trim your wick until the candle is completely set. There are some tools you can buy to hold the top of your wick in the middle of the jar and keep it from falling over, but I usually rig it using pencils or the clip of a retractable pen.

you need to purhase wicks and plain candle wax as well as the crayons....
one method is to cut the top off cardboard juice carton tie the wik to a stick that can be placed across the top fo the container so as to keep it hanging all the way to the bottom...
melt the candle wax with various colours of crayons .... and place ice cubes into the cardboard carton... pour on melted wax and wait till it sets then tip the water out of the carton from the ice... and you will have an interesting shaped candle with holes in it...

you can layer candles in various colours by melting the wax one colour at a time and when the first colour is set then melt and pour the second colour... etc.. until it is complete..
