There has never been proven, documented evidence of psychics working. Some of the most prominent "guess-takers" have been tested through research to see if their psychic ability is real.
For instance, in Great Britain there was a study about whether these psychics could really see and "read" auras (a usually invisible halo that hovers around people - yeah I know). They'd be placed on one side of a very tall brick wall and on the other, a person would walk around and the researchers would try to identify if the psychic could guess where they were standing by looking at their "Aura". Over nine of ten guesses failed - and "non psychics" averaged the same results on this test - proving once again that, particularily psychics for profit, are just excellent liars and guessers.
However there is an old, old belief that a real psychic would actually not use their powers for profit but rather to help people or to themselves, as that's something that should not be revealed to people. Ocassionally premonitions occur to most people but it is a freak event of nature, possibly a buried instinct from our animal days. (For instance, how come a duck can fly south for the winter and know exactly where it is heading? Is it psychic? NO, it just has an instinctual feeling in it, a gut answer, to where it needs to be).

You are behind times about anthrax...the lab was discovered in New Jersey and the woman biologist was arrested....ingeniously she had built the plexiglass lab facilities under water in a lake.
