i heard there was supposed to be a meteor shower tonight, has anyone else heard that too?

The Perseid metoer shower lasts the enitre month of august. Th 13th was the busiest night, but for the next week or so it will be very intense.

All this week, you will be able to see atleast one shotting star per minute.

Find a clear, dark spot and you will still be able to see plenty over the next week.

The persieds are caused by Earth passing through the path of a comet, so there is lots of debris that falls for te entire month. All the devris is about the size of a grain of sand, so nothing hits the ground, but lots of shooting stars can be seen.
