Well, Eve started it, but Adam finished it. So, it was equally both their faults. Kind of like creating life,....its takes two. They both had sound minds and were capable of making their own decision. They were both told not to do this and made their choice to stray. The question is whether or not Adam was aware that this fruit came off of that tree. We can assume that it may have been the only tree that produced that type of fruit, but the Bible really doesnt specify there. Were their other trees that produced fruit that looked exactly the same? If Adam had no knowledge of where the fruit came from...then thats a different analogy.

This is a no brainer. Just look at all the trouble in the world today, and do you see any women behind any of it. Men have been destroying the world since he got here, and is usually the women bailing him out. Eve may have been a reason but she certainly didnt cause this mess. Based on this theory is why so many believe that God may have been a Female

I don't know if I would use the word "destroyed", but the answer you are looking for is Satan.

Adam and Eve had free will, just like everyone else does, and they BOTH made a bad decision in eating of the forbidden fruit.
Think about this: if someone offered you some fantastic results for a "minor" price (as Satan put it all those years ago), wouldn't you be tempted? (People do it all the time with sex and drugs)

I can't say as Adam or Eve destroyed the world, they didn't listen to God. But, I feel that we are destroying the world ourselves right now.

I don't recall their being any reference in the Bible about Adam telling Eve about not eating the fruit from that one tree. That whole getting kicked out of the garden of Eden was really the world's first misunderstanding.

At that time Adam was the only one who spoke directly to God. He recieved the instruction to not eat from that tree directly from God. He was not decieved by Satan, Eve was and would have been forgiven. But Adam had direction from God himself and still chose to eat the fruit.
