I know this doesn't make sense. But for my storyline, I need to know if it's mainly possible for research, even with a deactivation code device, possibly somewhere hidden in the cavern wall. What do you think, if it doesn't trigger stalagmites, bats and bears?

absolutely, as long as nothing gets in it to set it off when people don't want it to get set of...say it's an abandoned cave, absolutely NOTHING living in it, then yes, but I don't see the point unless there's something to be guarding.

Technically, probably. I don't think it has been phisacally proven yet, but it seems very possible.
