For Alaska, based on area: 1) logging, 2) mining, 3) petroleum, 4) inland commercial fishing

Dollars-wise: 1) petroleum, 2) fishing, 3) mining, 4) logging (since reduced by the "roadless" policies).

Tourism would be third in dollars but hard to assess in area. The tourists don't go very far off the road, but they wouldn't come if they couldn't look at wild places.

For Canada, logging would be higher, first in dollars and area.
