I would like to take foreign language in either level of school, college, or high, and i think my dad once told me they speak kinda german type. is that true? this is a serious question?

The half of Belgium speaks French and the other half speaks Flemish ( which is like German)

I think it is called Flemish. They probably also speak French, maybe German too.

Flemish. It's like Dutch, only they have another accent and some words of their own.
