My grandpa always had a garden growing up.. he use to have us kids build a scare crow for the birds and he would do the moth ball thing to but that was for the bugs and snakes.. but for rabbits and squirrels he would drive stakes in the ground and tie strings between then and hang tin pie pans.. he said they would frighten them .. I know it sounds dumb but it did work .. lol

Go to a hair salon & ask them if you can have some hair off the floor. Take it and sprinkle it wherever you don't want the rabbits. They hate the smell of humans. I do this around my roses.

Amber's answer was dead on. I was going to suggest using stakes with strings between them and tying on anything shiny or noisy like used cd's, tin foil, tinsel from your Christmas tree, bells, or any thing that will tinkle and twinkle.
Rabbits hate the movement and the sound!
Good Luck!

Try using mothballs...They deter skunks, so they may deter rabbits, too...
