I was with a guy for almost a year and I THOUGHT we wanted the same thing...he's spanish and I'm white...the relationship.. NOT good...but I had no clue...he was cheating etc..I asked him to marry me..he looked at me laughed and said.. " marry you?! i dont really like you!" I dumped him that very night...a few years later..after he had someone else do that to him.. he came and said...You were right ...what comes around goes around...I got hurt too...Would you STILL want to marry me?!

Yeah...LIKE THAT WOULD EVER HAPPEN!!!! NOT!

I was proposed to by my first serious boyfriend I was so in love with him but something in me told me to tell him no,we had a son and he wasn't good at keeping jobs so I left him I knew I did not want a man who could not be responsible but any way that was the best decision I ever made no one in my family could understand why I said no at the time of the proposal I had no child and he was working but I just had a gut feeling that he would fall off and I wanted better than that ,right now my husband is great he loves me and he works hard for his family I have four babes now and life for me is good thank god i said no , the ex and his wife get put out if their place every year!

I've been proposed to more than once and said no twice. One I had actually been dating for almost a year when he asked - and saying no ended the relationship. One was a good friend who tried to cross the line.
Try not to be an "I love you too soon sayer"

sadly the day i broke up with my boyfrind was the same day he came to propose to me with a ring! I felt really bad but I was too young! I'm glad i wasn't pressured by the ring and still broke up.He has been divorced twice, I'm now married with 2 great kids. I know it wouldn't have worked!

Not me but I worked in a restaurant once and this guy made one of our waitress bring out the ring. Yea, we were all watching while she said no. In front of the entire restaurant. Poor guy!

My bf & I were together for 9 months...he took me to the park, got down on bended knee & asked, will you marry me? I told him that I loved him but was too soon..I felt really bad.
