To prove it - this is HILARIOUS to me, let me know if it would offend you????
I was teasing my hubby about his manhood (what man wouldn't hate that) and his comment to me was 'Yeah well a 747 crashing into the Grand Canyon looks small doesn't it' LMFAO!!
and yeah it was a dig on my woman size but come on that is hilarious!
Would this offend you or would you be able to laugh at the silly stuff in life????

just a note to Blue - my hubby and I have known each other since Jr High - we have been married for 8 years - so we have 20 years history together, don't think divorce is an issue at all! Thanks for caring though!

Wow, people calm down! It sounds like they have a good relationship with each other!
Maybe that is why there is so much divorce...no sense of humor in either party!

My hubby and I do that kind of stuff to each other all of the time. It's funny, not insulting. The morning after a hard night, he said that my face didn't look any better than a dog with a shaved *** that walked backwards. Sounds insulting, but I laughed until I cried.

You gotta have a sense of humor to survive! How's this one:
I met the old man at a seafoood restaurant for a couple of drinks after work last week. I had just purchased a new perfume and put it on before the meeting. I put my wrist to his nose and asked 'what do you think?' His reply: "all I smell is fish". I'm still laughing as I type this.
Find humor everywhere...you'll be better for it!

Nice one, I could laugh at that. The only exception would be if he had performance problems. Do not joke if that should ever happen. I am on blood thinner and when I started it, there were all sorts of problems. My wife and I took it hard. Well, actually NOT, as that was the problem!
That was supposed to be 'punny' and I can laugh about it now, but not at the time.

I don't know why people aren't finding this funny!! If you have a good realtionship with your husband, you SHOULD be able to joke around like that.. I think people that don't have a strong relationship with their significant other are the ones complaining.
I'm the same way with my husband (I responded to your other question). If you can be silly and rip on each other without being pissy then GOOD FOR YOU!!!!
I'm with ya babe.

Nope your sense of humour isn't twisted, its just more highly developed than most on here. Me and my hubby say stuff like that all the time and we crack up! I have to say I think he's a bit sensitive when it comes to the size of his dinkle.(maybe coz I call it a dinkle!) Alot of the women live up to the stereotype that women don't have a sense of humour. Insulting each other is much more fun than calling each cuddly wuddly names and being all politically correct.
I know what I prefer, both of your anecdotes made me laff!! Keep 'em coming

I find nothing funny in humor that makes fun of people, puts people down, or hurts people's feelings. Nor do I don't enjoy smut humor.
I also don't understand people's need to share their private lives with everyone within range of their voices, or in this case, posted comments.
Those derogatory comments might be funny today, but six months from now when you are thinking about a divorce, those comments will be used as ammunition in the hearings.

Sure, some of those things are funny.
However, the subtext - the body hatred, the lack of support
from your husband, etc, is pretty sad.
Think about this: The people who jumped from the World
Trade Center during 9/11 looked pretty comical as they
fell to their deaths.
Its true - but it isn't hardly the point, is it?

That is funny! Your hub is a quick thinker!
Oh my god, it reminds me of an episode of 'Curb You Enthusiam'. Larry's manager had dated a nurse; she broke it off because his penis was too small. Larry told his manager who said it was because her vagina was too big... big enough to... well, I don't wanna ruin it for you.
Anyway, the thing about comedy is you have to know your audience, which you and your hub so obviously do. I know my audience, hence I would never say stuff like that to my wife; she'd be crushed.

As long as it wasn't done to be mean or vicious.
Certain aspects of people are very sensitive and a bad inflection or accidental pause can change the meaning.
it seems like you two get along well.
