i dont think it will be so tragic without him....granted he was the captain, but was it really cause of his talent?? or because hes a little media-whore?
anyway, the one thing that they will miss without beckham is the ability to make a penalty shot and free kicks since he seemed to be the only one to be able to do so.
lets face it...he wasnt the most aggressive player. he didnt even really touch the ball that often. granted england will lose a sort of good player, i think they will get along fine without him...

I don't know because besidees Beckham there are four good players Rooney, J. Cole, John Terry and Gerrard but, Beckham is like the best. Well, don't worry about it now because Beckham simply stepped down. Beckham still didn't retire, so everything is quite good with England exept for since 1966, which was 40 years ago they aren't able to win a World Cup at all.

No they will not suffer because Beckham had a pretty pathetic world cup and Lennon showed he has the skills to be a replacement. I think he was a favorite of Sven and was always going to be a part, now that he is gone his selection is not guranteed. Its good because England have some brilliant young players like Lennon and Downing who need time to get experiance.
Besides how does it help a team seeing their captian throw up on the sidelines during a game?

Nope.A Team Is About A Bunch of Individuals Working Together.
There are many players who can replace Beckham such as Lennon.Credit to Beckham,he has done his best and should make way or others or better still,be a mentor to young England players.

Lennon is a step up, I'd say, but England are going to suffer with or without Beckham.

They will survive. The England team is only trying to achieve greater performance for the Euro 2008 and the 2010 World Cup.

england did they best in 2006
EPL is hyped
england is overrated
to go so far in 2006 is a bonus already
and yes if not for beckham england wouldnt even make it to 16
so england will suffer
cos i dont see him playing 4 year down the road
not unless he wants to exit with a bang: the next zidane

Everyone gets a turn. David Beckham was a one-dimensional player who is on the downside of his career. England will be better for it. You'll see.

They'll suffer with or without Beckham. Well, I think John Terry is a strong leader and he will lead his team to win matches.
