I don't think so. The earth has survived so much damage already so I don't think another 100 years is going to make much of a difference. If you are talking about the people that say it is going to be destroyed a certain year, that is doubtful also. There have been so many times when people have said the world was going to end, including Y2K, and nothing happened. The earth is strong and will survive.

Well unless Mankind decided to obliterate each other and destroying the Earth with it in the next 100 years then I do not Think so. As I belief that God had more things planned for us in the next Thousand years.
Of course that is in the exception that the United State government does not declare a nuclear war on any of the other Nations of the world. But looking at the Bush Administration ways of thinking, whereby governments which they think are not in line with their administration should not exist , then maybe Earth is in Danger of its own Destruction.

will it matter to anyone alive today? Personally, I think mankind has been on the brink of self destruction since the 60's but what do I know. We try to place nice with other kids on the planet and people don't want to play nice. They fill water bottles with chemicals to destroy airliners, they fly airplanes into tall buildings in a single bound, they roll trucks into barracks of people sleeping at an embassy. I think that if the world's policeman goes away---that is exactly what will happen. The world won't take 100 years to find a way to self destruct.
