Hello, 5 days late as of today, negative hpt yesterday, all the symptoms. I had some spotting last night and thought af was coming, (my husband was so sad :( ) Well needless to say, I woke up this morning, no af, could it be implantation? I am going for a blood test on Monday if af doesn't arrive by then.

Thanks for your answers!!!!

I think it is unlikely(although possible) that a fertilized egg would stay in the falopian tubes for 14 days before traveling to the uterus for implantation. However if that was the case and this is implantation spotting then that would be the reason the hpt is showing up negative. If you are just now implanting, then there isnt enough pregnancy hormone in your urine to show up. It takes about 3-4 days after implantation for the embryo to produce enough hcg to show up in the urine. I would say to test again with an hpt on Monday before going to the dr. If you were experiencing implantation bleeding, then the hpt should show positive by then whithout a trip to the dr's office. Also if you test on Monday make sure you use first morning urine (its supposed to have the highest concentration of the pregnancy hormone in it). I wish you lots of luck on getting a Big Fat Positive soon!!

Implantation of an embryo can happen for some time after conception, 2 weeks wouldn't be unreasonable if conception took place in the felopian tube. A negative test now could simply be wrong; or your body may not be producing the hormones yet that indicate pregnancy on that test, in wich case a blood test may not help there either. The case where conception took place in the tube is likely the answer, the embryo would then travel to your vaginal walls and implant after becoming a small set of cells.

Yes it can, and it does... By 2 weeks following conception the embryo implants itself into the walls of the uterus. I have heard that bleeding during implantation is normal, but im no doctor and every pregnancy is different. I wish you the best of luck..
Congratulations and take care

Yes, actually that sounds exactly like implantation bleeding. it usually occurs right around the time your period was expected and should just be a bit of blood lasting no more than 1 day. Good luck!

Yes it can happen. What color was the blood. If it was brown then it was old blood and could have been from implantation that happened a few days before.

Good luck.

specific, you will get implantation bleeding 14-sixteen days after theory. you may take a try 2 weeks after theory and it would examine useful. If not, wait a whilst then take yet another one.

It is possible, but not likely. If you still do not have your period, get a blood test.
