I watch the weather to see what is going to happen. They will predict one thing and within an hour they have changed their minds and now say something else!!!

Is this the only job in the world where they pay you for getting things wrong? They have all this Dopplar radar and other tools yet they still seem to mess it up.

So what gives? I do understand that weather can and does change, but not this fast.

weather forcasting is more like a gambling science. You're trying to predict what is going to happen with very little tools and knowledge, hence the results. The tools they have tells them what has happened so far, but it does not tell them what will happen. Give these guys credit, they do the best they can, but with so many known and unknown factors involved, weather forecasting will remain an unpredictable science.

Why do they still have it? Cause people keep asking for it even though they know it's incredibly accurate. Don't ask why, cause it's just the way it is these days. It gives people something to talk about, and there's always hope for future improvements. Most importantly it's a business, everyone makes money so everyone is happy.

Weathermen place self assurance in pc generated fashions to foretell the climate. now and lower back they might have many different fashions with different predictions, it incredibly is the place adventure, training and their practise come into play. it relatively is a less than perfect technological know-how, to assert the least. it relatively is declared that they do no longer seem to be constantly incorrect, yet we seem to in basic terms word whilst they are off. a greater effectual question could be, if weathermen are incredibly constantly incorrect, why is there this variety of call for to work out the climate forecasts. If human beings have not got self assurance them or place self assurance in them, the forecasts does not be performed on television/radio virtually as often.

I know it can make you mad when you plan according to the weather reports, but weather is not an exact science. What I see mostly anymore is percent chance of rain or whatever. If they were fired there would be no weather persons.....Thomas S.

If they fired every weatherman who got the weather wrong, we'd never have a weather prediction because they get it wrong often. They can't help it.

If they can get things 100% right, they should take the place of god.

Weathermen are only on TV for their "entertainment" value.
