It can be summed up in one word "drama". Speaking from experience (having been one, and having raised one), the teen years are a time of transition. You are no longer a child, yet not an adult. It's a state of anomie...swimming in the middle of the ocean, wondering which shore to head for (the child or the adult). Emotional turmoil results, hormones run amok. You cling to the childhood and dwell on the road ahead (exciting and frightening at the same time). It's a time of questions with no answers.

To quote my favorite poet, Rainer Maria Rilke in his letters to a young poet:

Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.

How'd I do?

It would be alot better if they would love God and others as their self. It is a hard age to go through, but the youth of your age should be highly enjoied,a man strength is his glory!
