Some of the best you can buy. They are not the very best, but are mid grade, and have been around for a long time. Weak springs can overwork a shock, just like carrying a heavy load all the time will overwork a shock. Ride comfort relies on the condition, and quality of your tires as well as tire pressure. Too much air in a tire will make it ride rough and wear in the middle of the tire. All shocks are hydraulic and have fluid in them, but gas shocks have compress gas that assists the hydraulic fluid, and acting as a buffer or cushion for the fluid to push against. I hope I have been any help to you. Good Luck!

Monroe gas-a-just are on my new GTO they are about as good as standard shocks get. There are many high performance shocks out there. The very best is Bilstine, high pressure shock they perform with out harshness. If harshness is what you want Tokiko Luminari, or Koni , KYB
