I am 32...it really depends on the person's personal tastes because there are SO many genres of games out there.

If this person isn't a gamer, puzzle games are a good place to start, such as Tetris, Columns, Bejeweled and especially ZUMA!

Platform games like Mario Bros are also great games. The Nintendo DS has a game called New Super Mario Brothers that is a 2d side scroller like the older games and is AWESOME!

First person shooters is what I prefer: Halo, Halo 2, Ghost Recon series, Rainbow Six series.

Strategy games are also very fun, such as Warcraft 2, Warcraft 3, Age of Empires, Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2. These games are VERY in depth though...so I would start with Warcraft 2...it has the basic premiss for strategy and is cheap. Feel free to msg me if you need any more advice.

well, I am not over 30, but I think that Halo 1 and 2 are awesome games for all ages. Also, the Ratchet and Clank series is really fun, but requires that you pay a lot of attention to the storyline or else you get confused as to what is going on. Jack and Daxter is also similar to this and is very enjoyable.

Try any genre that suits you best. If you like FPS games, I'd go for Halo and Doom 3. If you like adventure, Try zelda!
