I have this problem and it is horrible! This is going to sound stupid, my sister told me this and I laughed at her but this works!
Get at least two, preferably 3 or 4 pairs of shoes and switch them out. Keep your shoes in your trunk and switch your shoes at lunch and then the next day wear the other two. She said you need to let them dry and air out completely one day before you wear them again. I don't know why this works but it does!
Good brands of sneaks if you are a woman is Sauceny (sp), and New Balance. Spend money on the good shoes, look on eBay. I know how bad your feet hurting can be. Don't buy Nike and all the "popular" shoes. Go to the store after you get off work and try on a bunch, get a half a size bigger than you normally wear in sneakers. When you find the ones you like, buy em on ebay. I mean it, this works!

Look for a cushioned insole work boot. Sneakers would be more comfortable, but they won't offer much protection if something heavy falls on your toes. The boots don't have to be steel toed, but they shouldn't be soft either. Look for a good think sole, in case you step on a dropped nail or screw. Timberland or Wolverine both make women's work boots that aren't too bad.
If you can't afford something out of a normal shoe store, check Wal-Mart.

Good cushioned tennis shoes. I also work on my feet on the concrete. I wear all black running shoes. Spend a little money on good running shoes, you won't be sorry. They are made to help cushion the feet and legs, and they work!

Any kind of sneaker would do (unless it's a requirement that you need boots. if you need boots go to a shoe store and ask them what they recommend). I personally prefer K-Swiss and Adidas sneakers, since they're mostly designed for comfort.
