all ny life my parents told me that my class was a bunch of faliures. THey got crappy grades, they were okay at sports, and did not have close relationships with parents.

I do not think there is such thing as failure. I look at is, you(as in general) could've perhaps done better. You became a success the second you were born so, anything you do since that point, you are adding on to your succcessful life you already have. So, do not think you are a failure because you are not.

Not having lived up to ones own satisfaction is in some way a little disappointment but never a total failure. If you have survived till your death life is not a failure.
