You can castle when -
1. Neither the king or the rook which you are castling with have moved in the game and there are no pieces of either colour between them.
2. You're king is not in check AND none of the squares between the start and end position of your king are attacked by an enemy piece.

note that you CAN castle after your king has been in check previously so long as you broke the check by moving in another peice to block it and didnt move the king.

I find the easiest way to think about the casting movement is: move your castle towards the king and put it on the square beside the king, then jump the king over the castle to the space on the other side.

Castle in when there is no piece between the rook and the king and you move the king to A2 or A7 while moving the rook to A3 or A6. You loose the right to castle if you move the king or move the rook you are castling with. You also loose the right to castle if your king is in check.

When a king has got a check at anytime in the game or you have moved your king from its initial position before attempting to play castelling, then u are not allowed to do castelling

Castling means if a rook is in one corner of the chess and the king is somewhere 2-3 steps at right or left of the rook. they can exchange their sides.
eans if Rook at right it will go to left and vice-versa
CAN BE DONE ONLY ONCE IN THE GAME
